Coaching

We value the powerful leadership of a coach, and we use our professional coaching staff to develop leadership within our players as well. We believe that a coach’s impact and influence on our players will far transcend the boundaries of “playing soccer.”  HPSA coaches serve as trusted mentors to help navigate players through the land mines of sports and life.

We utilize competition as a valuable tool to teach and motivate players.  At HPSA, competition is not a three letter word spelled W-I-N.  We are not attracted to the distorted vision that advocates to win at any cost.  We embrace competition in its truest and purest form and teach players to view it as a reflective mirror that reveals the strengths, weaknesses and the true identity of players and teams.

HPSA has taken the holistic view of developing players based on the successes and curriculum development of countries like Holland, Brazil, Spain and England. The coaching staff at HPSA has been hand-picked with long-term development of our players as the priority.

Our Directors of Coaching are tasked with building a player development plan, including style of play and age-group learning structures, as well as a greater player development philosophy that connects the club’s mission to the player experience.  They are also in charge of guiding the club’s coaching methodology while building and training our team of coaches and staff.
