Our mission
The goal of the HP Soccer Academy is to provide year round quality professional training in a positive environment that will develop state championship winners during their HPISD school years. We take the time to develop players in our school district. Some coaches at other clubs take the easy way, to win quickly at any cost, and just recruit players from anywhere. After all, to play for HPISD you must live in the district. HPSA is the only club in North Texas to have these components in place and as a priority for their players. HPSA practices for the school year from August to May. All practices conform to the HPISD calendar. If HPISD is open we practice, if HPISD Administration offices are closed we don’t.
Games are mostly played on Saturday except JCL which play on Sunday or for any weather related make up games
HPSA does not control the league schedules or the weather
HPSA coaches make all rosters selections, practice, leagues, tournaments, player positions, player time decisions etc.
Depending on your coach’s assessment of the team’s skill level and player commitment, there may be some variations of what your team does each season. Below is a general idea of what’s included.
- Fall season – Sept-Nov, ~1 game per week for over 10 weeks ~ 8 games (6 scheduled games guaranteed based on rain outs)
- Winter events – Dec-Jan, ~ scheduled around the Holiday Break ~ could be tournaments or 5v5 – 7v7 league play.
- Spring season – Feb-April, ~1 game per week for over 10 weeks ~ 8 games (6 scheduled games guaranteed based on rain outs))
- Skills assessment via player evaluations and individual development plans
- Tournaments – 3 tournaments for Academy – U9 and under teams, 4 tournaments for U10 teams and 5 tournaments for Select – U11 and older teams. One could be a league placement or challenge tournament. League schedule and weather permitting.
The communication flow is as follows: Parents>TM> Coach or Registrar> Directors. Please respect and follow these lines of communication, so that the appropriate person addresses everything. Everyone should understand that when they break this chain of communication, it sends a message to a supervisor that someone is not doing their job.Please do not pay if you have not received an email placing you on a roster by HPSA.
HPSA Financial Obligations: We have two payment options: an annual payment (via check or credit card) and a monthly payment plan via credit card or post dated checks-all checks need to be mailed in at the same time. All payments are due in full by December. Only players who complete the registration process, including documents and dues payments, will have secured a place on the team. It takes 3 days after we receive your documents to register your player in the league so they will be eligible for league play. Remember, these are teams dues that go towards payment of the coach, facilities, and leagues we play in. A decision to leave the Club after your registration has been completed does not relieve you of your team dues commitments.HPSA Annual Team Player Dues are all inclusive. There are no additional fees except for your uniform and any travel tournaments which are determined on a per team basis. North Texas is one of the largest soccer markets in the USA and teams from other regions travel here for tournaments. We have also sent teams to Europe and Brazil. When you add it all up, other clubs range from $12.00 to $15.00 per hour. HPSA averages $9.00 per hour.Annual dues are discounted substantially from our pay as you go or Ala Carte dues to help us plan.
All “A la Carte events and dues” below are included in all Annual Team Player Dues except uniforms and travel tournaments.

Under 9 & YOUNGER Annual Academy Membership – $1,650.00

- HPSA U9 & under teams train 2 hours per week.
- Academy teams will play on Saturdays.

- HPSA U10 teams train 2 hours a week in the Fall like the U9 and under teams
Beginning in the Spring, these teams will be treated more like the U11 teams with additional tournaments and training in preparation for U11 competition.

Under 11 & OLDER Annual Competitive Membership
(Ala carte rates below total: $3,860.00 – A la Carte dues are on an “as available” basis per team. Please do not pay A la Carte dues unless you have been notified)
- All U11 teams will train 3 hours a week all season.
- Select U11 teams will be scheduled primarily on Saturdays, but Sundays and weeknight games will be scheduled by leagues as needed (especially for makeup games!).
- Out of town or travel tournaments are ala carte on a per team basis. There will be an additional charge for the tournament dues and coaches travel expenses-transportation, hotel, food etc. collected by HPSA. Parents pay their own travel expenses directly to the vendors. Travel expenses can vary from drive to tournaments, to fly to domestic and international tournaments. We have taken teams to Europe and South America. Your coach and team manager will discuss these with you and alert you well in advance. Some teams have a fund-raiser or get sponsors for these tournaments.

Private Skills Training: Private skills tutorials are paid separately to the coach and are not included in team player fees. Privates do not guarantee playing time or your selection to be on the team. Parents agree to release, discharge and/or otherwise indemnify the HPSA, its affiliated organizations and sponsors, their employees, associated personnel and volunteers as a result of the Player’s participation in the skills training.
