HPSA Parent Policies

As a team parent at HP Soccer Academy, I acknowledge that I am representing our program at all times and that my player’s participation at HPSA must be respected in the following ways:

  • I will defer to my coach for all roster, training, and playing time decisions.
  • I will not ridicule or harass referees at league and tournament games, period. HPSA Coaches have the ability to submit referee evaluations as needed. HPSA will NOT tolerate parents getting thrown out of games or starting fights on the sidelines with opposing team parents.
  • I understand HPSA does not control the league’s or the tournament’s schedules, reschedules, the weather, a player’s injuries or a player’s health.
  • I understand that all HPSA team events are mandatory. Players with excessive absences will not be provided with an equal amount of playing time as the players that regularly attend training sessions. I will not argue this policy with the HPSA Leadership Team, including the Team Coach.
  • I will reiterate the “team-first” mentality with my player to and from games and practices.
  • I will first work with the team manager, then my player’s team coach, then the DOC, and then finally the HPSA Leadership team to see how my player can make a bigger impact on their team, or to discuss any further topic at hand. Any inquiries that did not follow this chain will be ignored until the correct procedure is followed.
  • I understand HPSA does not control the league’s or the tournament’s schedules, reschedules, the weather, a player’s injuries or a player’s health.
  • I understand that any question I have regarding a league or tournament MUST be sent through the Club Admin at admin@hpsocceracademy.com. Team parents are not permitted to directly communicate with league directors or tournament directors. The reason being, directors have hundreds (some, thousands!) of teams they are managing at once. They simply cannot respond to each individual parent inquiry, or league/tournament play just wouldn’t happen! We ask that you send us your question, and we will work with the league/tournament to get you an answer, or HPSA might already know it.

Should you not be able to maintain this level of respect towards HPSA, leagues, tournaments, or registration associates, you will be at risk of being banned from games and practices. Team parents are our #1 supporters, so we ask that you respect these policies and help HPSA maintain it’s culture of  a drama and bully free zone from a parent or player—we need you on our sidelines supporting our players
