Club Schedule Update

Upcoming practice modifications are listed below and are available in the HPSA App.

• Wednesday, 10/30 – Thrills and Drills*
• Thursday, 10/31 – 13B Navy and 15G practices generally held on Thursdays are rescheduled this week due to HPSA Halloween Event on 10/30, see below** for more details.
• Friday, 11/1 – Skills Training
• Wednesday, 11/6 – Highlander practices ONLY are cancelled due to facility conflict.
• 11/25 – 11/30 – All practices, Futsal and Skills Trainings are cancelled due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.
• Thursday, 12/19 – Final Fall Practice

*Thrills and Drills Event

When/Where:  Wednesday, October 30^th

• Academy: 4:30-5:30 at UP Elementary
• Select: regularly scheduled practice times/locations
• Exceptions: 13B Navy and 15G

All teams are at their regular practice times/locations with the exception of 13B Navy and 15G.  Thursday 15G practices will move to Wednesday from 4:30-5:30p at UP.  Thursday 13B Navy practices will move to Wednesday from 7-8:15p at Highlander.  The HPSA App has been updated accordingly.

What to Bring:  1 bag of candy to contribute to the festivities, a bag for collecting candy, soccer ball, and water.

What to Wear:  Costume conducive to playing soccer.  Players who come in costume will be entered into a drawing for a special gift basket.  Be creative and show off your spooky spirit!

Elite Training

Seeking supplemental training opportunities?  Needing intensified skill development?  HPSA acknowledges that twice-weekly team practices often fall short of preparing players for elite competition.  Achieving expertise in technique and skill demands consistent daily practice, which HPSA facilitates through targeted programs like Futsal and Friday Skills Training.

Friday Skills Training.  Sessions at 4p (Academy-ages) and 5p (Select ages).  Drop-in options available.  Non-HPSA are welcome.

Futsal on Tuesday evenings is an excellent way to develop or enhance a player’s skills in 1v1, ball control and quick thinking.   Sessions are 6p (2016-2017s) and from 7-8:45 for 2015s and older.  Drop-in options available.  Non-HPSA are welcome.

Winter Tournament Season has Arrived

As fall’s league season ends, the winter tournament season begins.  During the next week, Select coaches will communicate tournament plans with team managers.  For Academy-ages, coaches will organize parent meetings to discuss tournament participation and team-specific details.  Afterward, the settled tournament schedules will be integrated into the HPSA App.  In the meantime, a working version of the Tournament Schedule is located here.
